Cross-border payments firm Tazapay has announced the close of its Series B extension round, raising total funding to $36 million. The round was led by Circle Ventures, with participation from new investors including Coinbase Ventures and CMT Digital.
Existing backers such as Ripple, Norinchukin Capital, ARC180, RTP Global, Peak XV Partners, GMO Venture Partners, and January Capital also continued their support, reflecting strong investor confidence in Tazapay’s growth strategy.
The funding extension comes as demand rises for faster, more efficient cross-border payment solutions across emerging markets.
Tazapay aims to replace legacy banking rails with modern digital settlement infrastructure that enables businesses to move money seamlessly across borders.
The company plans to use the fresh capital to expand its regulatory licensing footprint across multiple jurisdictions, allowing it to access new high-growth payment corridors.
It also intends to accelerate its go-to-market strategy across regions including Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and the Americas, areas where compliant and scalable payment infrastructure remains a critical gap.
A key focus area for Tazapay is the development of “agentic payment infrastructure,” designed to support AI-driven, autonomous payment flows.
The platform’s flexible rails and rules engine are built to enable enterprises and developers to integrate programmable and compliant payment systems.
According to company executives, the growing adoption of stablecoins in cross-border commerce is driving the need for reliable infrastructure that bridges digital assets and fiat systems. Tazapay’s licensed operations and local integrations position it as a key enabler in this transition.
Currently, the company serves over 1,000 enterprises and fintech clients across more than 30 countries, underscoring its expanding global footprint.
The latest funding round highlights increasing institutional interest in next-generation payment solutions, particularly those leveraging blockchain and stablecoin technologies to modernize global financial systems.
