Recently, the market has been abuzz with speculations and claims that Mr. Beast, the popular YouTuber and influencer, is planning to launch his own memecoin on the Solana blockchain.
The speculations came following the X post from an account named as ‘Crypto Beast,’ arguing that Mr. Beast will be soon launching his own memecoin. The post was made live on January 18, and in a couple of hours, it gathered a huge spotlight sparking speculation in the market.
However following the surged speculation over the memecoin launch, Mr. Beast himself clarified that he isn’t planning to launch any such product. While replying to the viral post he mentioned “ I could probably launch a meme coin and make hundreds of millions of dollars but idk. Just feels icky, I’ll pass.”
It is worth noting that thousands of bogus and parody accounts exist on Twitter and other social media platforms. Their primary motive is to create buzz among investors and crypto enthusiasts, often leading them to become victims of scams.
Mr. Beast Accused of Crypto Price Manipulation
Mr. Beast a billionaire YouTuber has faced allegations of crypto price manipulation several times most recently it was reported he promoted particular tokens to increase their price and made a profit of around $23 million.
MrBeast, however, has refuted these claims, describing them as absurd and amusing. He said he is not directly involved in market manipulation and that his cryptocurrency assets are managed by professional funds.
The charges against MrBeast have sparked discussions about the negative consequences of market manipulation in the cryptocurrency community. The safety of blockchain-based currencies is under serious threat due to the disastrous effects of pump-and-dump schemes.
Compared to legitimate projects that impact over a million cryptocurrency users, the number of pump dump projects has increased in recent quarters.
