Crypto exchanges BingX and Bitget are pushing the boundaries of tokenized finance with new offerings tied to the anticipated IPO of SpaceX, the aerospace company led by Elon Musk.
BingX has introduced what it describes as the first Pre-IPO RWA token linked to SpaceX, distributed in limited quantities through its Xpool airdrop format.
The move comes as reports suggest SpaceX is entering a substantive phase toward a public listing, with a potential roadshow expected in June 2026.
The company is reportedly targeting a $75 billion raise at a $1.75 trillion valuation, which could make it the largest IPO in history.
Meanwhile, Bitget has unveiled IPO Prime, a new product category offering tokenized exposure to pre-IPO companies.
Its first listing, preSPAX, is a Republic-issued token designed to provide retail users with economic exposure linked to SpaceX’s post-IPO performance.
However, Bitget clarified that the token does not grant equity ownership or shareholder rights, and that SpaceX has neither endorsed nor authorized the offering.
The structure instead mirrors synthetic or derivative exposure, allowing users to speculate on valuation outcomes without holding actual shares.
The launches highlight a growing trend among crypto platforms to integrate traditional financial instruments into blockchain-based ecosystems.
By tokenizing pre-IPO exposure, exchanges aim to democratize access to high-demand private market opportunities that are typically restricted to institutional investors.
Despite the innovation, the model raises regulatory and transparency questions, particularly around investor protection and the accuracy of price tracking relative to real-world valuations.
As interest in tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) accelerates, initiatives like these signal a broader shift toward merging traditional finance with decentralized infrastructure, while also testing the limits of compliance and market structure.
