Notcoin moves $6.8 million NOT tokens to Telegram founder
Notcoin was recently launched on the largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance Launchpool, and another cryptocurrency exchange, OKX, simultaneously, with 102,719,221,714 NOT in full circulation.
Earlier, on February 6, 2024, Notcoin made a post on X, highlighting that they would transfer Notcoin (NOT) to Pavel Durov. In that post, Notcoin stated, “There is no shame in standing on the shoulders of giants. Pavel Durov and the Telegram team created the Telegram app, setting the bar for builders and creating numerous opportunities for everyone, including Notcoin.”
Additionally, Notcoin mentioned that in appreciation, 552,586 Notcoiners sent a total of 1,030,383,291,362 Notcoin to Pavel’s account. They expressed surprise at this number, especially since 203,303 people donated all their hard-earned Notcoins. As a token of gratitude, everyone who donated Notcoin will receive twice as much at the end of this phase. “You deserve it. Thank you to all the contributors. You make Notcoin special.”
Why NOT the token price falling?
However, after the launch of the Notcoin (NOT) token, it fell by more than 50%. The reason behind this fall is the distribution of 80 billion tokens in the form of an airdrop to the contributors and the recent 1.03 billion NOT token transfer to the Telegram founder.
As of writing, NOT is trading near $0.0068 and, in the last 24 hours, experienced nearly a 5% price drop. It experienced a nearly 53% price drop following its launch. With this price fall, the current market cap of NOT tokens is $701.8 million.
