Twitter CEO only considers Bitcoin, says 'no' to Ethereum

Jack Dorsey, Twitter CEO, recently dismissed the notion of him purchasing Ether, despite the social media platform’s activities with Ethereum-based nonfungible tokens (NFTs).

Twitter said on Wednesday that it will give out 140 free NFTs to 140 of its followers. The tweet, which received over 13,000 likes at the time of writing, featured a slew of follow-up tweets including themed NFT drops.

Despite Twitter’s release of 140 NFTs on Ethereum, Dorsey appears to be solely committed to Bitcoin.

Twitter handle named Packanimal suggested that it was only a matter of time before Dorsey invested in Ether, to which the CEO simply gave a crisp one-word reply “No.”

No.

Dorsey, who is also the co-founder and CEO of the crypto-friendly digital payments business Square, earlier stated in a 2019 tweet, “I only have Bitcoin.”

“Bitcoin affects absolutely everything, and I don’t think there is anything more enabling for people all around the world,” he stated at the Bitcoin 2021 conference in early June.

An early Bitcoin believer, Dorsey has repeatedly argued that Bitcoin will be the single currency of the internet.
