Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of Turkey, recently announced the “e-Human project,” powered by blockchain technology, ahead of the country’s national blockchain summit.
The e-Human project will be based on blockchain technology to integrate the services, data, and abilities used by the systems under substantial safety and protection. It is a digital service point where the Turkish president in charge can share information related to the government’s services.
Intending to increase employability and support the development of citizens, the project comprises tools related to careers, remote education, and talent acquisition. Its launch is expected to maximize the reach of the government’s offerings and to yield maximum benefit to people.
Students can access the e-Human portal, fresh graduates, public employees, etc., for varied purposes like internship or job opportunities in the public and private sphere, certification courses and training, updates on career fares, and other significant career paths, along with education-oriented events and content.
The Turkish government has a history in cryptocurrency, considering its contrasting behavior. It is said that Turkey was a crypto-friendly country before President Erdoğan took charge. In April 2021, a ban on the use of cryptocurrency was announced, followed by an announcement later in July 2021 regarding the adoption of the cryptocurrency bill.
Turkey has always held a very supportive stance in favor of blockchain. It also announced its National Blockchain Infrastructure Plan, but the pandemic halted it, considering the government’s lack of updates. It also organizes numerous blockchain-based global events, namely Istanbul Blockchain Week and Blockchain Economy Istanbul.
However, the Turkish population massively advocates the use of cryptocurrency as Chainalysis’ 2022 Global Cryptocurrency Adoption Index suggested Turkey to be one of the fastest-growing cryptocurrency markets and was ranked in the top 20 for crypto adoption.
