Microsoft has announced that it has integrated the Space and Time data warehouse into its Azure Marketplace, making it easier for customers to deploy, manage and analyse real-time blockchain data. With a one-click deployment, Azure users can now easily access and integrate the blockchain data warehouse into their business processes. This integration will help organisations incorporate the blockchain into existing operations without compromising computational power or security.
Space and Time is a pioneer in Web3 data warehousing, integrating off-chain datasets with live data indexed from major blockchains. The hybrid transactional and analytic (HTAP) data warehouse offers free, real-time indexed blockchain data to its customers, providing them with the ability to integrate blockchain data into their applications and business processes.
Microsoft Azure’s extensive cloud services and industry-leading identity and security capabilities provide developers with reliable resources and tools for creating Web3 apps, which will open up new possibilities for blockchain foundations and decentralized app (dApp) builders. Kathleen Mitford, CVP of Global Industry Marketing at Microsoft, said, “At Microsoft, we are empowering growth across emerging markets—including blockchain and distributed data. Together, Microsoft Azure and Space and Time will provide developers with the tools they need to build the next generation of blockchain use cases.”
In addition, Todaq news reported in March 2023 that Microsoft was allegedly working on a Web3 wallet that could be integrated into its Edge web browser. The wallet would allow users to store and manage cryptocurrencies and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) directly from the browser, making it more convenient for users to access their digital assets. Edge will join other browsers that offer integrated Web3 wallets, such as Opera and Brave, and demonstrate the company’s growing dedication to the browser.
The integration of Space and Time data warehouse with Azure computation will help organisations to easily access and integrate blockchain data into their business processes. This integration will provide a reliable set of resources and tools for creating Web3 apps, which will open up new possibilities for blockchain foundations and decentralized app (dApp) builders. If Microsoft develops a Web3 wallet, it will demonstrate the company’s growing interest in the blockchain space, which could drive more mainstream adoption of digital assets.
