Since the past few months, spot ETFs in the crypto market have gained significant attention and over the weeks leading asset managers and institutions have been filing to launch spot ETFs of cryptocurrencies like XRP, Dogecoin, Solana, and Litecoin.
However, ETF analysts at Bloomberg argue that there is a higher chance that the Litecoin ETF will get approval from the regulators before the end of 2025.
James Seyffart and Eric Balchunas of Bloomberg said that the spot ETF of XRP, Solana, and Dogecoin have a 65, 70, and 75 percent chance of approval this year, while Litecoin ETF has a 90 percent chance of a green signal to launch in the market by the end of this year.
As per CoinMarketCap, Litecoin is among the cryptocurrencies that debuted in the initial phase of the market and was promoted as its closest competitor to Bitcoin. The primary reason stated by the pair of analysts is the acknowledgment of S-1 and 19b-4 forms, which the SEC is likely to see as a commodity.
Factors backing booming Litecoin prices
Until publishing, Litecoin was trading at $128.70 percent with an intraday growth of 13.86 percent and has recorded an unprecedented surge of 28 percent. At the same time, the market capitalization was $9.72 billion growing 14.34 percent, and market capitalization has reached $1.87 billion with a spike of 95 percent.
The sudden spike in the trading volume has helped Litecoin to surpass its 20, 50, 100, and 200-day EMAs. It is worth noting that the highest trading price recorded by Litecoin since it launched was $412.96.
There are several factors behind the growing prices of Litecoin, but some of the most important are the race for Litecoin spot ETF approval which is spiking the demand for Litecoin among usual and institutional traders.
In the 52-week time frame, Litecoin’s highest traded at $146,61 and its lowest traded price was $50.45. As per crypto experts, if the bullish momentum remains unaffected in the coming sessions, LTC will surpass 52 weeks and might establish a new ATH above $150.
Another factor driving Litecoin’s price may be its expanding adoption as a worldwide payment method. Litecoin is becoming more and more popular as a payment method because of its quick transaction speeds and inexpensive fees, which may boost demand and raise its value.
By the end of 2025, Litecoin may reach $200. However, the price can drop to about $130 if the market experiences a downturn or unfavorable circumstances. In general, it is anticipated that the average price of Litecoin will hover around $165 in 2025.
