Binance announced the 50th project on its Launchpool, Ethena (ENA). It is a synthetic dollar protocol. Starting March 30, 2024, users will be able to stake their BNB and FDUSD tokens to farm ENA tokens, as per the official announcement.
Chinese crypto reporter Colin Wu shared an X post on his page, drawing on Binance’s latest updates. According to his post, the project will let Binance users farm ENA tokens over three days based on BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes’ ideas.
Details of Ethena (ENA) launchpool
A lot of excitement surrounds Ethena’s upcoming launch, with the webpage scheduled to go live in just 5 hours, perfectly timed to coincide with Launchpool. From March 30, 2024, at 00:00 (UTC), users will have the opportunity to farm ENA tokens for three days.
ENA will be listed by Binance on April 2, 2024, at 08:00 (UTC). Trading pairs include ENA/BTC, ENA/USDT, ENA/BNB, ENA/FDUSD, and ENA/TRY.
Binance clarified key aspects of Ethena’s Launchpool, including token supply, rewards, and staking terms. There will be a maximum token supply of 15,000,000,000 ENA so participants can expect substantial rewards, with 300,000,000 ENA reserved for Launchpool token rewards, constituting 2% of the total token supply.
The initial circulating supply of ENA is 1,425,000,000, which is 9.5% of the maximum token supply. Operating on the Ethereum blockchain, Ethena enforces staking terms that necessitate Know Your Customer (KYC) verification, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and boosting user security.
It’s imperative to remember that Binance will be the first platform to list ENA, preventing any potential misinformation or deceiving ads.
Investing in ENA to transform DeFi
In line with Binance’s commitment to advancing decentralized finance (DeFi), Binance Labs has backed Ethena, a crypto-native yield-bearing stablecoin. A pioneer of DeFi, Ethena has attracted investment support from Binance Labs and other key stakeholders since its public debut in February 2024.
Plus, Ethena’s strategic partnership with MirrorX makes it even more market-relevant and accessible. MirrorX’s suite of products are available to Ethena and other institutional clients via Binance Exchange, allowing seamless settlement of derivatives positions and access to Binance’s diverse array of products and markets.
Having a clear understanding of the Launchpool eligibility is recommended. According to Binance, users from Australia, Canada, Cuba, the Crimea Region, Iran, Japan, New Zealand, the Netherlands, North Korea, Syria, the USA and its territories and non-government-controlled areas of Ukraine aren’t allowed to farm ENA. In any case, Binance said the list of prohibited areas might change as regulations change.
