Ethereum, the second most prominent cryptocurrency, and its ETF have remained in the spotlight. Most recently, Eric Balchunas, an ETF analyst with Bloomberg, said ETHA has surpassed $10 billion in assets in just over a year after going live.
The ETHA by BlackRock is the fastest non-Bitcoin ETF to reach $10 billion and is the third in the entire history of ETFs in the United States, after the iShares Bitcoin Trust and FBTC by Fidelity.
In an X post dated July 24, 2025, Eric Balchunas noted, “ ETHA went from $5 billion to $10 billion in just 10 days.” He also wrote that the ETHA is among the top five ETFs in terms of inflow in both the 1-week and 1-month time frames.
Primary catalyst strengthening Ethereum dominance
After Bitcoin’s surge in adoption among institutions, companies, and giants as primary treasury reserves, a slight shift has been noted, which has fueled the adoption of Ethereum.
In the last few months, dozens of companies have announced plans to invest in Ether, considering it the second most prominent primary treasury reserve, after Bitcoin.
The change in buying momentum at every level has helped Ethereum price to scale, and as of writing it was trading at $3,632 with an increase of 1.52% in the past 24 hours.
Following the surge in institutional buying of Ethereum, a positive sentiment has been observed in Ethereum ETFs and other Ethereum-related products.
