Cathie Wood and her asset management firm, Ark Invest, are making strategic moves in the crypto market. ARK Invest CEO believes in the possibilities of Bitcoin and is changing their investment plan to match.
In a recent development, Ark Invest has been reducing its holdings in the ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF (BITO) while increasing positions in the newly launched Ark 21Shares spot Bitcoin ETF (ARKB). Cathie Wood’s perspective on Bitcoin
Cathie Wood wants people to realize that a lot of investors aren’t fully recognizing how powerful Bitcoin can be. She points to information about Bitcoin mining, shared by Yassine Elmandjra, saying that the money made from mining Bitcoin is more than what some big companies like Spotify, eBay, Hermes, Chipotle, Hertz, and Hilton earn.
Bitcoin mining’s total income has witnessed a significant increase from $10 billion in 2019 to $60 billion. With Traditional Finance entering the Bitcoin market, upcoming events like the halving, and favorable macro conditions, Wood believes that the landscape of Bitcoin and its market dynamics will undergo intriguing changes by the end of 2024.
As Ark Invest keeps dealing with the crypto dynamics, the smart decisions made by Cathie Wood show that the firm believes in the potential of Bitcoin. They’re putting a lot of focus on ARKB, the Bitcoin ETF, and this shows they see value in Bitcoin that others might be missing. With the entry of Traditional Finance, upcoming events, and changing macro conditions, the evolving narrative of Bitcoin is one to watch closely as 2024 continues.
