For the past several years, everyone in the crypto and diverse finance market has been curious to know who the creator of Bitcoin is. However, an HBO documentary, “Money Electric: The Bitcoin History,” identifies Peter Todd as Satoshi Nakamoto, the pseudonymous Bitcoin creator.
The documentary was aired on October 09, 2024, in the evening in the United States. As per available data, Todd is among the core developers of Bitcoin at Coinkite, working since July 2014; and also serving as a board advisor at Verisart, a digital collectible platform.
“Money Electric: The Bitcoin History,” the released documentary, is filmed by award-winning filmmaker Cullen Hoback. He is an American film producer, director, occasional columnist and speaker.
It is argued that Cullen compiled old facts and some new facts to produce the appreciated masterpiece of 100 minutes of runtime. Backing the claims, Cullen pointed to a chat log message solely written by Todd in which he claims to be the “world’s leading expert on how to sacrifice your bitcoins.”
The filmmaker also portrayed Adam Back, the Blockstream founder, as another primary Satoshi suspect, with the evidence.
Cullen spoke to a media outlet before the documentary was aired, noting that “Todd’s game theory is next level,” adding, “Just consider, in the run-up to [the documentary] release: he’s in the trailer, there’s a multi-million dollar betting pool, hundreds of thousands of tweets about the film and I didn’t see anyone suggest this possibility. He’s a fucking genius.”
Peter Tood Denied Claims of Cullen Hoback!
The claims by the documentary and filmmaker Cullen have spared the speculation in the cryptocurrency market. Since the documentary’s release, Tood has been reposting the X post and has denied the claims that he is Satoshi Nakamoto.
While talking to CNN, the developer noted that HBO did not contact him to watch the documentary before it was aired yesterday.
