
Binance Japan, the Japanese arm of the world’s largest crypto exchange with trading volume, Binance, announced that it will list 13 more tokens ahead. This will bring the crypto exchange’s listing to 47, higher than any other service provider in the country.
Binance expanding its services in Japan?
As per the release, the 13 new tokens that will be added are Hedera Hashgraph (HBAR), Near Protocol (NEAR), Optimism (OP), GALA (GALA), ApeCoin (APE) Immutable X (IMX), Arbitrum (ARB), The Graph (GRT), Render Token (RNDR), Decentraland (MANA), EOS (EOS), Klaytn (KLAY) and Lisk (LSK). It added that spot trading for these cryptos will begin from November 27, 2023.
Binance Japan mentioned that users can anticipate an array of services apart from just spot trading for various digital assets. It added that the exchange will extend its offerings to include lending services branded as Simple Earn for specific assets.
HBAR, NEAR jumps while GALA gains momentum
On the market side, HBAR and NEAR prices registered a surge of 4% and 9%, respectively. HBAR is trading at an average price of $0.06, while NEAR traded at $1.68, at the press time.
This news comes in when the global crypto market is depicting bullish sentiments after Bitcoin went ahead to breach the much awaited $37k price mark. However, the cumulative market cap shrunk by more than 2% on Wednesday despite cooling inflation.
GALA, one of the biggest gaming token price jumped by a massive 11.5% in the last 24 hours. The token has already posted a gain of 80% over the past 30 days. GALA is trading at an average price of $0.024, at the press time.
Takeshi Chino, CEO of Binance Japan stated that this is the next big step towards the goal of handling 100 cryptos on the exchange. This move will help them to play a lead role in expanding Binance users in Japan.
Binance Japan, founded in August 2023 after Binance’s acquisition of licensed crypto exchange Sakura Exchange BitCoin in November 2022. This move helped the biggest crypto exchange to re-enter Japan after a regulatory warning was given in 2021.
