Mark Cuban, American billionaire entrepreneur and owner of the Dallas Mavericks, recently tweeted that his Dogecoin holdings aren’t very large. During a Twitter conversation regarding DOGE, Cuban disclosed that his personal Dogecoin wallet and the Mavericks Dogecoin wallet both have less than $15,000 worth of parody cryptocurrency.
One of the respondents in the conversation highlighted that crypto accounts for a small portion of the billionaire’s $4.4 billion net worth. According to a tweet from Cuban in mid-May, he and his son possess over 3,300 DOGE.
The owner of the Dallas Mavericks was a crypto hater last year and even before, frequently criticizing Bitcoin, stating that he would rather have bananas since they are edible and Bitcoin is not. Last year, he said the same thing on Anthony Pompliano’s Bitcoin show. However, the billionaire has altered his mind and now considers Bitcoin to be a store of wealth.
As per Cuban, 95% of his company’s clients prefer to pay for goods and services with Dogecoin, the seventh most valuable cryptocurrency. Elon Musk, the entrepreneur and CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, is another strong advocate of DOGE however he has never disclosed the extent of his personal holdings.
Mark Cuban’s Dallas Mavericks previously became the first NBA team to allow the cryptocurrency Bitcoin, Ethereum and Dogecoin for tickets and commodities. The team uses BitPay, Bitcoin and cryptocurrency payment services provider to enable this new form of payment.
