The House Business and Labor Committee of Montana, United States has accepted a bill that could make the path clear for the largest cryptocurrency Bitcoin, as well as other digital assets, to become reserve assets. On February 19, having an overall vote of 12-8, House Bill No. 429 got passed through the Business and Labor Committee in the state.
All Republicans were in favor of the bill; meanwhile, Democrats didn’t support it. After this step, the bill became the fourth crypto reserve bill to touch the doors of the House at the state level in the United States.
This step will create a special revenue account to put money into valuable metals, stablecoins as well as virtual assets, having an average market capitalization of more than $750 billion in 2024.

The First State to get approval
The Chief Executive Officer of Satoshi Action Fund, Dennis Porter, has lately listed Utah as the first US state to adopt a BTC reserve, citing the shorter legislative window calendar and political momentum of the state.
As reported earlier by Todayq, Porter declared the progress of the bill on February 6 and acknowledged that it had successfully passed the Utah House. On January 28, having an overall vote of 8-1, House Bill No. HB230 was passed through the Utah House Economic Development Committee.
