According to a recent survey, the majority of Australians are in favor of voting for pro-crypto candidates rather than voting for the one who has a tough stance over digital assets.
Swyftx, a known crypto exchange, said that the YouGov released on February 19, 2025, highlights that 59% of the Australian crypto holders are in favor of voting for a candidate with a pro stance on crypto in the upcoming elections in the nation.

In the recent U.S. presidential election several media outlets reported that the donation amount from the crypto sector has surpassed donation from any other industry.
As per experts the inclination of politicians towards crypto has grown with time, and in a few known nations the digital assets have played a significant role in forming a pro crypto government.
There are several reasons behind the growing popularity, adoption and involvement of crypto, one primary reason is the back to back success of Bitcoin, and its surge adoption among institutional investors and publicly listed companies.
Over time corporate investors have been boosting their Bitcoin holdings, in a most recent development, Metaplanet a company listed in Tokyo announced on February 20, 2025 X post that it now holds 0.01% of BTC’s supply.
An additional release of Metaplanet dated Feb 20 notes that with the most recent purchase of 68.59 Bitcoins, now the total holding reached 2100 BTC. Until publishing BTC was trading at $97,001 with an addition of 1.45% in the past 24 hours.
Polymarket favors Peter Dutton and the Liberal party
Over the decentralized prediction market there are several polls conducted but a poll ‘ Australian Parliamentary Election Winner’ has a volume of $725,855 with $46,487 only for the Liberal National Party with 34% favoritism for the Labor Party.
This poll will end on May 17, 2025, and another poll ‘ Next Prime Minister of Australia?’ favors Peter Dutton with a 61% chance of victory, Anthony Albanese had 38%, and Jim Chalmers with less than 1%.
The Prime Minister poll has a volume of $577,454 with $267,926 for Peter followed by Anthony with a volume of $120,520. There are many more chances that both these polls are expected to see a staggering growth in the volume in coming March and April.
